floppy kept jamming, guy at CC put in a new one that didn't jam, however even tho installed, computer didn't recognize it, would boot with disk in,say insert disk - drive may be open when trying to use.
i took a floppy out of another PC, hooked up the power and gray thing to it without installing, booted and got the message i wanted--remove disc and hit any key.
powered down, installed floppy and --- PC doesn't recognize it!!!! going insane. is it possible to buy an external floppy drive. i store my work on these to transfer at the office. hope someone gets this, i am lost!
