her computer has been in the shop. can you imagine, she just unplugged it and didn't even say bye!!! actually, she thought they'd be able to get to it that night. She's fine, and missing us. She has done laundry and even dusted!!!! we better get her back soon or it will be too late!
anyway, she hopes to be back by tomorrow night.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Oh no! She's doing housework? Well at least now she won't have to do it again until the brugs come in next fall. LOL

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

gee I would think that she would spend her free time in the green house

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hope you are back real soon, who likes to do housework? It can kill you! More fun playing in the dirt, than sweeping it!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

guys, i may be in the same boat, sending the PC for a repair job. don't know which computer i'll have in the meantime, may not have net access. if by chance i don't answer email that will be why.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Oh that what I was wondering for not hear from her email for while. I hope she will be back here soon. =)

Arlene,

I hope, that the computer you borrow meanwhile has an internet access. I miss, that Cala is here and will sure miss you too. Are you having it in for an upgrade ... or?

was thinking about her today and was wondering where she was. Looking forward to her presence once again.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

arlene, please let us know before you just disappear!!!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Still here guys! i only really need a floppy, they pay everything if i send it back including postage. DDs daughter is down, think it has a virus. if i can't get that running i have to use DDs and i don't think i can get on the net. my sis says i should just buy a floppy or take the one out of DS computer.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Glad to hear Cala's ok. Gosh, I'll bet her house is spotless by now.LOL. Arlene, don't you disappear for too long. When someone here doesn't post for a few days it feels like there's an empty seat at the dinner table.

If she doesn't get her computer fixed, maybe she'll come and clean my house too. LOL. Missing you Cala.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

OK, I'm back. I've got all the laundry done, dusted and planted about 60 brugs in the ground and weeded the flower beds!! I needed my computer back so I could get some rest. It's working great, just have to get used to the new stuff that's on it now.
I've been saving pollen, starting cuttings and potting up things in the green house. I even swept the floor!! I have been polinating the brugs and have (finally) seed pods on Whiskers!!! Some days, I would just go sit in the Jungle House because with the brugs and jasmines blooming, it smells wonderful in there. So glad I'm back, I really missed you guys.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Wow!! You have been a very busy girl. I don't doubt that you need a rest.Sit back, put your feet up and read all the threads you missed.Glad you're back. Everyone missed you.
btw, what did you pollinate Whiskers with?

You have been real busy, Cala *lol* I hope you get time now to relax in the Jungle house and enjoy the flowers, scents and maybe the sounds of birds singing outside :-)

Guess you know by know, that me missed you in here *lol* So, good to have you back. The Brug seeds you send in earlier spring came up last week and yesterday they moved in to their first homes (4-5 inch pots). To judge by the other Brugs I pottet last week, your seedlings should gain good size and develot the first true leaves in about a week from now. Patience has never been my stronest character, so I am already looking forward to see them in bloom, - even if there are from 6-20 months to blooming time *lol*

Which did you pollinate to which Brugs? Who are the other parent to the Whiskers pod?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Cala,
Glad you are back. Hope you get caught up here and then maybe you can relax a little more. I'm heading out to mow the lawn, so see ya all later........S

Cala,
Glad to have you back on line.

Hamilton, Canada

Cala,
Where on earth do you get all of your energy? I need Molly Maid or a tornado to come through and do all of my work...gosh if I had one tenth of your energy they would have to take my energizer batteries out.
Glad to see you back.

I missed you guys so much! It was terrible, like quitting smoking or something. I had to stay busy, lol.
I crosed Ecuador Pink to the Whiskers, and the pods are still there. I'm still having trouble with Isabella setting pods.
You will never believe this, I found 5 CG pods that had actually turned yellow. I was shocked. It seems like they ripened overnight. I must have two cups of seeds. Don't know what I'm going to do with these since I'm running out of room fast.

Cala, do you know, if it is general, that there are differences in seed size and shape in a cross, where you use the same two parents, but in cross 1 use one as the mother and in cross two uses the father of the first one as a mother?

You see, I received a cross yesterday from Germany labeled aurea x CG. The seeds were in two categories. Half was big aurea types, the other could have been suaveolens or versicolors as well. When I e-mailed my friend about it he told me, that the seeds actually was from two crosses, one having aurea as the mother and the other having CG as mother.

Is it usual, that the size and shape always take shape after, who`s the mother?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Tonny
I've found that the mother plant determines what my seeds will look like. My seeds from EP mother look like versicolor seeds, but if I use CG as the mother, they look like CG seeds. Have I made sense?

Yes, you was very clear! :-) From now on I will take it as a kind of rule, that the seeds is similar to the mother plant of the cross ... it will be of great help in IDěng unidentified crosses *lol* I have currently a few of these.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Funny thinking of Charles as a mother. LOL Maybe Charlene.
