I've tried searching back for this but I can't find it. Monika mentioned somewhere that Exotica Pink was something else. Anyone remember what?
Exotica Pink
You can see a pict. of it in Gommers site. It is hybridized in Belgium by G.v.Herck. Maybe Monika can tell us more about, what distinguish it from EP?

I received an email from someone wanting to trade an Exotica Pink for sanguinea (not from daves) - and you know how I hate to part with my sangs. LOL I have Ecuador Pink and the name rang a bell.
Boy, I'd take Exotica Pink over Ec. Pink anyday. Of course, it might be totally different in a yard compared to just a picture.
I'm not too thrilled with Ecuador Pink's folded up on the bottom?
EP and Exotica Pink are the same plants. So far. The EP, I have, is the Logees EP and the Exotica Pink from G. van Herck, introduced in Germany by Kirchner-Abel, is EP. Kirchner-Abel cannot even keep Esmeraldas and my Alicia apart. So I had two same plants. I pollinated them with each other. There was not a single seed pod set on. But I am planning to visit G. van Herck in Belgium and will try to find out about Exotica Pink. But until this is not cleared up, I would not trade, Liz. You might get another EP, as Gommer has EP under the name of Exotica Pink.
Thank you Monika
I looked at Gommers picture of Exotica Pink and it doesn't look like my Ec. Pink. Mine Ec. Pink has the upturn on the flower and his picture of Exotica doesn't and it looks a lot darker. I know that photography is different and temps make a difference too. Will be interested in finding out if these two are the same plant. Wish there was some way to get this re-naming stopped so we don't have to take the time to figure out if the plants are the same or not.
Brugie, they look very different! :-)
However, pictures can show color differently according to what camere company made the camere, weather conditions and time of year (color size and intensity. I found this out, when I started to look at pictures of "Dark Rosetta. Gommers show a white tube with light, soft reddish pink. I have seen another, where it appears in very dark, golden color tones ... I still don`t know, what its real color will be.

Tonny, Kirchner-Abel brought a flower of Dark Rosetta to our meeting last August AND picture in his cataloge.
There was no relation to picture and natural look.
I stay to my former comment: Exotica Pink is Ecuador Pink.
Mine EP is from Logees and cannot be pollinated with the Exotica Pinks from Gommer. Exotica Pink is supposed to be a european hybrid. I have seen leaves of a supposed to be Exotica Pink, they looked much like Esmeraldas. But maybe G. van Herck will show me the real Exotica Pink, when I visit him.
Gommer hasnt even noticed yet, that Glockenfontäne and Madeira mollis or only mollis are identical. Frau Neus Nova looks like Glockenfontäne, but the flower lacks 10cm in length and the corolla is not so broad as of Glockenfontäne.

I dream of the day, where we get rid of name confusion and re-naming Brugs *lol* I have never actually grown ExP and EP side by side, so I can`t say mutch of worth about that *lol* But I know about name confusion :-)
Once, when I find the time for it I like to re-consider "How to Identify Datura" and separate the Daturas from the Brugs there too. When I have done this, only the nurseries here are the ones left with this misconception *lol* My "Brugs" came in today and turned out to be D. metel! The sign said DATURA as in the sanguinea from last week. Well, it was not the nursery owners foult, because he asked as I instructed him to do, but to the delivery GH`s a Datura is a Datura *lol* Ironically enough they understood the expression x flava good enoug, so one of the metel`s was of cause yellow.
I am for making a European Brugmansia and Datura Society in order to end this confusion by learning people in general about Brugs and the different between them and the Dats and ... *lol* I think I will open up a school and teach Brug hybrids names like I once learned the small tabels in math *lol* - or learned to spell: ""No, no, little Peter!!! You spelled arborea wrong, because there are no Rothkirch in it!"" :-)
A new twist to the story - the person says she got it from Brazil.
Yes Tonny - ExP - from Brazil.
Could it be B. suaveolens Brazil?
There's a brug called Brazil?
European retailers have a pink B. suaveolens Brazil in their lists. It doesnt differ from Rosa Traum or other pink colored suaveolens.
B. suaveolens is from (I think) from Northwestern Brazil lowlands, so the name is very appopriate. Is B. suaveolens "Brazil" a wild spexies or just a new name for an old hybrid?
Monika - I remember, when you posted "Glockenfontaine", that you mentioned, that it was sterile ... Is Frau Neus "Nova" also sterile or is it fertile as father or mother in crosses?
Nova has proven to be steril at Mme Blins and my place.
But Mme. Neu said, that Nova is the mother of L'Amour. She is the breeder of L'Amour, she has to know it best, so I have Nova as mother plant in my records.
B. suaveolens 'Brazil' is supposed to be a wild species.
Yes, I am sure. Nova was given to me by Mme Neu herself.
Even in pictures, you can see the difference between Nova and Glockenfontäne.
Mme Neu knew all her plants.
