I will take the description with me to the Farmers Market on the 11th or 18th- there is one seller, at least, that specializes in all sorts of hot peppers, I will see if they can ID, if so will get one if you have not posted that you have found one already.

Are you talking about ornamental Peppers?

Sounds like Pretty Purple or Pretty in Purple. Take a look at this page (go to the "chile photos" link): http://www.pepperplants.com/ They have gorgeous pics of a BUNCH of peppers. Maybe your friend's mom can look with you and find it?

If it is the "ornamental' kind, I have that one. LMK

Yes it is ornamental. but with round fruit instead of like the peter pepers, or ladyfinger.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I had some last year and thought I saved the seeds. I'll see if I can find them. They were ornamental peppers and started out as you described and then purple. They were very hot. I think I posted and asked for ID on it last year. If you haven't found it let me know. I know the person I got them from last year and he probable has more if I can't locate the seeds I saved.
