(Zone 8a)

This is the Dr Suess I bought last month and is still about 3 1/2 ft tall...last time only had 2 blooms and hope I will get more next time!

From 2 to 7 flowers this time *lol* That`s good statistics ... Besides its beautiful. Wish I also had flowers down here *lol* There`s one sanguinea flower left, but of cause there is lots of buds coming :-) Do you like the scent of Dr. Suess?

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Rebecca, how does that beauty smell. I have one that smells like lemon and it resembles that bloom. I know you are proud of that one.

(Zone 8a)

Tonny...it has 10 but all haven't opened yet and I love the scent! It smells all day too!

GRC...I think this one has a more sweeter smell than lemon but this time of year my nose maybe off due to allergies! yuck!

I went to a nursery in phenix city one day and a guy was unloading the brugs off a truck and I spotted this one blooming and snatched it up!

I'm still waiting for my cutting to grow and bloom from last year!

Does this Brug have serrated or smooth leaves?

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

Beautiful :)

(Zone 8a)

Glory, they are serrated...there was quite a bit of controversy over this brug here when I posted a pic before...it had no tag on it and we assume it is Dr Suess!

The blooms will turn more orange later!

Could it be something else?

Seed,
Oh, I don't know I was just wondering. It seems I have all Dr. Suess and no real Charles Grimaldi's....all mine have serrated leaves.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Very pretty plant.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

glory, I have one real CG, when it gets a tad bigger I'll take you a cutting. It overwintered in a pot outside. I got it as Jutner orange from cala

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Now I know where my CG came from. I was trying to remember and had given Glory credit for it on the tag, but I think she said she didn't have one. Had to be Cala then. Sure glad she had the real McCoy to share.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I shared a lot of the Jutner Oranges right before frost, because one of my biggest brugs was CG. well....... wrong, it was Dr S. so I was extremely happy that this one came back. thanks again Cala!!!

tiG,
Thanks...I'll take it.

Speaking of Cala where is she?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's still the 90 days of h*ll at nurseries!!! bet she's gearing up for Mothers day

tiG,
Ok on Cala...I was wondering haven't heard much from her lately.

(Zone 8a)

Well...I appreciate ya'll taking over my post as to where and what is that!:)

And no comps to boot! Could it be because I bought this beauty and haven't grown it from seed or cuttings or what? :0)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ima, you are funny. it is a beauty, dr suess is one of the best. good thing since my JO and CG turned out to be the doc.

Ima,
Your Brug is very pretty...even though you did buy it. LOL

If I had seeds I send you some just so you could experence the joy of growing one from seed.

(Zone 8a)

LOL Glory...let me know if you get seeds this year and will love to try it!

Cheers,
Rebecca

I'm back, I'll start the real CG for anyone that emails me and tells me they want one. These smell wonderful too, especially in the evenings and early mornings. CG was my first brug though I bought it for Jutner Orange.
We are really busy at the nursery, but it was a computer problem that kept me away.
