painting question

Hi,

I'm in a painting frenzy, we just closed on our house Friday and already I have the first (hopefully also the last) coat of paint in DH's office.

MY question is about this little flat paint pad I got with my KMart One Coater set. I love the way this little thing works but it kept coming apart when I turned it the wrong way and went skittering down to the floor or across my arm or whatever. The pad came out of the little applicator that has the 2 wheels on it to keep you from painting where you don't want to paint.

What am I doing wrong??? I thought of putting tape or even some sort of glue on the inside of the applicator but that would soon be paint-sodden (at least the way I paint... LOL) ... HELP!

I have the bedroom to do tomorrow (or at least to start - hopefully the office won't need another coat!)...
