This makes a nice clump of green in a shady location. In the sun it looks very ratty. Very tough. Has curious, tiny blooms that appear in the center of the 'leaves'. The leaves are flattened branches. Mine does not set fruit.
I found, many years ago, at the site of an old house that was being buldozed to make way for a tract.

I love this little shrub, it grows wild in this area but I'm yet to keep a cutting from it.
This is one of the plants used as an 'ancient woodland' indicator.
You need both sexes to enjoy the attractive bright red berries, so if you can find out which you have, find the other and let nature take it's course LOL
