Today's the day!!!!!!!!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Finally, the brugs get back outdoors!!!Seems like years since they saw the sun. Well Spring is finally official so the fun begins..and my back will hurt!!LOL :-)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

congrats, and yes the old back will hurt, but what a joy for you and them!!

Congrats Kyle :-)

There is nothing as moving Brugs out. It is like everything starts over again *lol* Do you put them in the ground or do you grow them in pots?

:-)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

That's great that you can put them out now. Another 3-4 weeks and mine will be out too. Can't wait. Don't do it all in one day though. You'll have a broken back.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Tonny, this year many will be in the ground around the yard..my entire front yard is going tropical this year...brugs,palms,hibiscus,crotons,philodendrons,and about 30 other types. Will be a lot of work ..but will look like Hawaii when I'm done! :-)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

if i ever remarry, it's gonna be to a gardener. my DH is fanatical about keeping the lawn mowed, and that's as far as he goes.....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yeah Arlene, but there are Gardeners and there are GARDENERS. I want the kind that KNOWS what he is doing and knows about the plants too. I've known some people who think they are gardeners and they can't even raise a tomato. Well, sometimes I even fall into that catagory. I'm putting my brugs in the ground today. Have help coming to get the compost moved around and the tiller running through it. I'll do the planting. Can't wait. Getting tired of watering pots.

Snow, I can't even imagine planting 100 brugs. I know this number came from another thread, but I'm on the run today and just commenting when I can. You will have your hands full just keeping them cleaned up and fertilized. Thanks for sharing with me.

Kyle, watch your back for damage. I've been there and it isn't much fun. Have found that the dolly (two wheeler) works great except for the steps. Have a good day everyone. I'm off to plant!!

i'm having that find a place problem, i go from too much shade to blazing sun, have about 50 in the ground, would like to get a few more in somewhere.
Ms. Brugie and Kyle, put on your sun screen and have fun. glad you have help brugied.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Arlene, having the same problem here as far as finding a place. They don't call NH the Granite state for nothing. My yard has more rocks than dirt I think and DH has about beat himself to death with the roto tiller through the years. He must really like these Brugs as he offered more than half of his veggie garden for them. It's full sun there and I hope they will be happy in that spot.I also want to put some all around the yard so I can see blooms where ever I am.

Kyle, I think I will grab my Hawaiian-shirt, my ghettoblaster and an funny cab and go to your front yard on vacation :-) *lol* and the socks full of Brugs *lol* If I arrive in time, I could help carrying the large pots out, so you will have a back left, when you are done :-)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Brugie,my back is already shot has been for years..thats why the sciatica is so bad.Oh well they gotta GO!!! Tonny I collect Hawaiian shirts....I have about 30 now and its still getting larger.(collection)<< not my head.!LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Congratulation Kyle, mine have to wait another 3 - 4 weeks. But they are already in the larger GH and if my DH gets the one number larger greenhouse finished, I will have more room.... for a few weeks! LOL!

But today was the day for our Abies and firs, standing at the garden fence. We had them cut, now they have just half height as before. There is now again more light in the garden and for the Brugmansias.
