Hi, all you groovy guys & gals. ;) Thursday ended up being a GREAT day for me, and I'm so thankful! I'd had an awful headache Wednesday afternoon and night, so when I awoke Thursday with no headache, I was sooo happy. After Howie left for work, I headed outside and planted a few of the perennial seedlings and tackled pruning/shaping the grafted willow we have out front of our house. I quit before I did too much this time, too.
Food-wise, I was busy, and that made all the difference. I ate a good lunch with Howie before he left for work, and just had a little of a roast I'd made, plus the veggies, for my dinner. I think I'm actually under my calories for the day, plus I *moved* my lazy butt. It felt GREAT to get outside again. I'm hoping to do a little more outside every day, even if it's raining and all I can do is bend over to pull a few weeds up when I have the dogs out.
I need to look at a diet the same way - stay busy, do a little at a time, and look back at the progress I've made with pleasure. Each task in my garden is handled in small steps, and each day of my diet -- each choice -- is a small step.
