Playing hooky again. Both hands are swollen this morning - I'm beginning to wonder what kind of a gardener I'll be this year if this keeps up.
It is a frosty clear morning. the gibbous moon set yellow and the eastern sky is pinking up. We had about 7 inches of snow when it was all done with yesterday - all the bare spots disappeared. It is supposed to be near 50* today and sunny, maybe we'll lose the white stuff again.
Stan is back on cow watch - trip to the barn in the middle of the night, but no babies yet.
On the subject of wheel barrows, I loved my Rubber Maid when I was still feeding silage. It was considerably lighter than the metal one and when your moving a ton of silage twice a day, it makes a difference! We have an automated feed cart now that Stan runs - I'm too short. I had hopes of getting the wheelbarrow to use outside, but he still feeds the heifers with that. The metal one has become semi permanent storage in the tool shed. Maybe I'll just have to invest in one and paint flowers and my name on it!
Hey Amanda - if the snow ever stops, we should have a Chautauqua County gardeners meeting at one of the local greenhouses!
Hope everone has pleasant weather, well animals and a sunny disposition!
