May Day

Hello folks,
Thought I would check in on May Day. It's raining here again. I'm not complaining, since we need it so badly.
I got 6 tiny tomato plants out last night and put up my Wall-O-Waters around them. It's supposed to be 27 degrees overnight tonight, so that should test the insulation of those things pretty well. DS was complaining about the rain, but hey, this is spring, it's supposed to rain.
I ordered some sweet corn seed from Colorado and that stuff sure was spendy, but it's the best sweet corn we've ever had. The boys were selling it one year and made some big bucks. DH would like to get it planted this week, so I hope the rain quits for a couple of days so he can get it into the ground.
Lisa, how is your move coming? Sometimes I wish I was moving so I could get rid of stuff that I absolutely don't need.

EvaMae, glad you are feeling better. Sometimes you wonder about those doctors, don't you? I know a couple that won't take a womans word for anything that they are sick. They think it's all in our heads.!!!
DH burned the branches from the cedars that we cut down a couple of evenings ago. I had the fire department lined up to do a controled burn sometime this week, but DH thought he would do it himself. Those flames were higher than the bin and were making him pretty nervous. I wasn't too happy with him right at that moment, and it's a good thing we didn't have to call the fire department as our old granary was about 20 yards away from the fire. I would have hated to say, I told you so. (But I would have!! LOL)
Hope everybody is OK with all the storms that have been brewing lately.
