Ha!...I found an easy way to knock out just about ALL of the pop-ups and block third-party cookies that are spying on my every click and sending the info to marketers. With Internet Explorer 6, you can specifically block any domain from giving you a cookie. If you look at your cookies, you'll probably notice fastclick.com, doubleclick.net, etc...stuff like that. What I did was delete all my temp internet files, go to a site, look at the cookies it gave me and then blocked any cookie that didn't come from the site directly. For example, if I go to abcnews.com and I see cookies from doubleclick.com, I simply block any further cookies from doubleclick.com and leave abcnews.com alone. It works very well so far. I haven't had any problems with content loading or being blocked from any site because of this. I would ALWAYS get a pop-up when I went to weather.com, but NO MORE! lol Power to the people!...lol If you have IE 6, you should do this...it works great. The only thing I haven't been able to get rid of so far is the stupid advertising pop-ups on geocities.com
