Hi,
Am hoping Tim might see this, or anyone who knows, and tell me if this passiflora is really Indigo Dream. I bought it as that, but have heard that it isn't. I know that cameras and lighting can make a difference in pictures. This baby needs a name. Thanks Everyone!!
Shirley
Is this Indigo Dream?
Brugie;Tim has a picture posted on this same forum of his Indigo Dream and to me they both look pretty close the same.
Pretty!!!!
I thought so too, just a little difference in the color, but had been told that what I had was not Indigo Dream. I thought Tim could put the question to rest. To me everything is the same about the two pictures except for the color and Indigo is dark blue, right?
OOO so beautiful. I can't wait mine to have blooms not have this one. Thank for sharing with us. It look like close as Tim has.
I think the lighting is a bit different from his and yours but they sure look the same but then I don't know that much about em.
Tim,Oh Tim;come and clarify this for Brugie and the rest of us......please
Shirley,
The leaves appeared to be the same as mine. The only difference is in the color. This could be due to the light outside, how bright it was when you took your picture. And also the camera.
If I take a pic of P. 'Lavender Lady' in bright sun light, the filaments appeared more purple on the computer. If it is in the shade, filaments are blue. In person they are blue.
My P. 'Indigo Dream' came from Elizabeth of Grassy Knoll, and the picture on her web site has blue filaments. We may need to take pictures a leaf stem to compare the glans.
I wonder how much the growing conditions effect the colors.
Okay Tim, Now I'm sure I must have P. Indigo Dream because I got mine from Elizabeth also. Feeling better now. Thanks for your help.
Shirley
This picture was from last year on a gray day and I only fed 20-20-20. Plan to use a little bloom booster this year. I heard that passifloras like it. What do you feed?
Shirlet,
Ok, then it is a P. 'Indigo Dream'. Elizabeth is very good at correctly IDing the plants she offers.
I feed them Osmocote outdoor plants food, last about 3 months. I would love to get a balance pellets formula, but Osmocote will do for now. Liquid feeding takes too much time, I have the pots all over the yard. Once in awhile, when time permits, I give them 20-20-20 or 10-10-10 solution.
I'm going to try the Osmocote too then. I can then fertilize with the liquid once or twice a month and be in good shape. Would sure be much easier as I have them all over the place too. Nothing like you have, but I probably have 10 or so scattered here and there.
Good luck getting them all moved. Can't be something I'd be looking forward to doing.
OK Shirley and Tim, who is Elizabeth and how do you contact her. I would like to get some more passiflora's. Thanks,
Dee
Dee, the site I'm adding here is hers. She has nice plants.
When I finally figure out how to propagate these things, I'll send you some. Just had no luck last winter so I'm going to start taking cuttings this summer and see if it won't work better for me.

Shirley, you might ask Calla, she started a couple for me and these things are the healthiest. They were better than the couple that I had bought from the website that I got mine from. As a matter of fact I am going to have to ask her myself cause I have one growing all over the place and I would like to make a couple of cuttings from. Thanks for the site.
Dee
