hi all, i'm transplanting some plants that have been cramped up in a small pot for awhile. there are some tumor-like things at the end of the roots, and i was wondering if those need to be clipped off.
what are they anyway? water deposits or something?

"tumors" on roots
Although it varies with the type of plant, you are probably seeing root appendages that store water for the plant. No reason to remove them. Just treat them as part of the root structure.
How are your re-potted plants doing, Pangie?
they are still unresponsive. i think one of them is dead because it isn't growing any leaves, and it usually is in bloom at this time of the year. the other one still has leaves, but it's not growing anymore. i ended up removing those tumor-like things. hope that didn't hurt anything!
maybe they are looking at the dead tulip sitting next to them on the window sill and thinking, "uh-oh, i'm next!"
LOL! It's possible the transplant shocked them, and that they may come back for you. I don't know about the appendages, though; anyone know if those will grow back for her?
