Grow It Like Cactus

I ordered some ephedra seed, which came today. Cultivation instructions are to treat it like cactus. Of which I know absolutely nothing.

Can anybody recommend books or web sites that might help me out. Something specific on growing ephedra (Morman Tea) would be ideal. But even general info on starting and growing cactus in a temperate zone would help.

Having bought the seed from Horizon (they're my favorite source of herb seeds), I already had that info. What I'm looking for is more in depth information on cactus growing, so I can apply it to the ephedra.
