thank you! the ones I've planted in the ground are doing wonderfully and my son told me I 'better' save him some or I'm in trouble!

They are really beautiful - I have about 6 nice seedlings too.

Thank You Tonny :D. am an amateur in everything. when i took those pics. i have in mind, how others will be able to see the flower from different angles. i tried my best to give justice to such a lovely flower that i grew for the first time.

the seed given to me was simply labeled yellow datura. out of that batch, some came single, double and triple blossom. i still do not know the specie, except it is Datura metel. do you know?

i tried to search on line, found several names for them, B & T World Seed called them D. metel triple yellow, other sites called them Golden yellow. very confusing. please help, i do not like to mislabel such a beautiful flower that grace my humble garden. TIA... ma vie

It is a little tricky, because in the new taxonomy the dbl.yellow forms are not described, but I label mine D. metel var. muricata yellow form (D. metel var. muricata usually refer to the dbl. white forms).

tiG, here is a link:

You will find it under Solanaceae D. metel var. alba (old name for D. metel var. muricata).
