To Ms. Brugmansia!!
ummm.....he's a he :)
Hi tiG,
All of my plants are he's, as in:
"C'mon boys, let's see how handsome you all are, and make the ladies swoon" ;-))
All the 'handsome' best

Thats quite alright. It does appear to be a versicolor type hybrid to me; although, I can't see it very well. I base my deduction on the fact that all the white blurrs appear to be blooming at the same time and in the same stage of blurriness. I could be wrong though.
Yes they seem to be blooming all at once.
The plant is, supposedly, from the Brugs at the beautiful gardens of Herrenhausen in Hanover, Germany.
So should I put it in the bigger pot? Wont it look a wee bit daft for a while, like a pea sitting on a melon? lol

It says at the bottom of the text something about brugmansia versicolor. I'm assuming they would be talking about the one in the picture. Instead of going back to the other thread you have here, I will just suggest that you put your plant in the largest pot. It will fill out quickly and they seem to grow faster in bigger pots. Good luck with it. I'm sure you will enjoy your first brug.
Happy Gardening....
Shirley
Thanx folks,
he's going into the big pot.

Wintermoor, you'll probably be like us and end up havng them everywhere, most of them grow like weeds, fertilize and water and off they go.
My wife would murder me....LOL, no seriously though, she was always wanting one, and I didn't think I was up to growing one 'til I came on here, and read almost all of the posts on the Brug. forum. I got hooked, I just hope I don't have to throw other things out if she falls in love with this plant, cos I just don't have too much room....... we'll see;-))
All the best

Just a few versicolors for you to look at till yours get bigger. Of course, in the USA...lots of us like the versicolor aurea type hybrids as shown by the following link...

As you can see, we have a few odd white ones, but nothing as spectacular as what Monika has produced.

But dont forget to bring your skis along, Wintermoor. They promised snow for our mountain region.
I am not able to bring the Brugmansias out after the Eisheiligen, these icecold holy men, not to forget the cold Sofie three days later.
This year should be better. We are putting up a third GH, 8m x 4m.
But you are welcome. Just give me a call before so I can tell you, when I expect them to flower. I live at an altitude of 600m.
I'd love to come down sometime and see them Monika, your place looks amazing. I would give you plenty of warning if, and when, I will be in the area.
BTW, your homepage is excellent.
Alles Gute

Danke, Wintermoor! But its 365km to go.
That's only a three hour drive Monika.
I would leave HH in the morning, and be back for Wetten Dass!!! ;-))

When we were younger, DH and I just drove up to Willkommenshöft (Schulauer Fährhaus) to eat Fischbrötchen. There were no better and more tasty ones in whole Germany.
Wintermoor's a lucky, lucky man.We can only dream of a visit to Monika's.And to be able to actually purchase those beautiful Brugs would be a dream come true.
