Good morning, all ~
Thanks for posting your pictures and stories of your animals - keeps reminding me to pay the bills and stay on top of things so that I too, can enjoy the hard work and sweat and tears and laughter and love of having a small patch of earth to care for some day. I don't always comment on them, but I do look, and laugh and cry with you.
Lana: I was once an English Major (who couldn't and still can't spell) - how I got from there to being a computer geek is still a mystery to me. I know it had something to do with being a single parent (at the time) and needing to make money ;-) Oddly enough, that turned out to be A Good Thing as I often translate techy-ese to something real people can understand! Sometimes I get lucky and get inspired. I write all kinds of things in my head while I'm driving (14-20 hrs a week on the road!). I just rarely seem to have the time to type them up.
It rained last week, so the strawberries were too soggy to make it worth getting some last weekend. Supposed to sprinkle this weekend, but hopefully not too much. That first batch of strawberries a few weeks ago were just a tease! And pretty soon, it'll be too hot and they'll just start cooking on the vine before they get fully ripe. I'll be sure to miss them if that happens, but I can't imagine how devistating that would be to the local berry growers.
Blessings to you! Karla
