Looks like a form of Frosty pink.Digital pics can make them darker in color.Sounds like she is trying to get people to buy them without names for a reason.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Bet someone might be disappointed when they see it bloom later on. tiG, good to see you back posting. Missed you here.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

it has the isabella leaves i think, computer jammed on the pic, not going back now. long, thin, no ruffles. i don't remember looking inside an isabella bloom.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Great pictures Arlene.

thanks ms brugie. you can't miss isabella's seed pods. one of my isabella's was traded to me as versicolor salmon, lol.. it's no wonder everyone is so confused about names. i agree with tig, think poppysue's pic is isabella.

This is, what I dont like, when pictures are treated this way to catch (in my opinion cheat) buyers. ebay should refuse such pictures, as it is obivous, that this is not a natural color.

I figured this was a common one. I do have an Isabella cutting - from Eric I believe. No signs of flowers yet but I hope to I'll get some this summer.

E-bay sellers always try to out do each other. There's a lot of competition on there now. I love the titles - "Rare", "Unusual", and "Never been seen before!!" Anything to get you to look at their auction.

If I was to compete on E-Bay I would use honesty and credibillity for one thing in combination with modest and precise choice of words ... However, good I am not at the E-Bay. I can write a short post and complicate things so much, that I for one ends up confused *lol* :}

However, I agree, that if you are serious about Brug collecting, E-Bay is not just the place. It is too much Thompson and Morgan-style kind of sellers or B and T world seeds. Don`t get me wrong. These two sell good seeds and I have been very satisfied to buy from them in this respect, but ... they don`t know the differece between Dats and Brugs :} Sometimes, when I read the sales texts from E-Bay I imagine it spoken out in best Mad-Scientist falsette accompanied by rapid, incoherent body movements.

E-Bay could be such a good place to buy Brugs. But I get the impression, that several sellers use the same images taken from the WWW. and that some of them don`t know the difference between Datura and Brugmansia (I know *lol* I am also weird in this respect, because I still think, that Brugmansia is a section in the Genus Datura ... however crazy this may be in these modern times, I still know, when we are taslking trees or plants *lol*

We must have more serious Brugmansia distributors like you, Monika. I think we should have you cloned and replace the currently E-Bay sellers with you, because then every buyer would be utterly satisfied with both the info and the seeds and plants purchased there.

Well it realy all boils down to "BUYER BEWARE" If you don't know what your buying and the value of it you have a good shot a being taken or just not getting what you want.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

I don't know about the inset but the pic of her plant looks real to me. she may not know the name of the plant. then again, pics can be so hard to use to identify similar blooms. i think it'll be a long time before nurseries and individuals get names right. none of my first 6 had the right names, and the one without a name wasn't the right color!

FSH, TX

I have sent hundreds of seedlings out to to that area of Texas and other area's of the USA back when I used to simply germinate several thousand and select out the ones I wanted to grow. Any I didn't want to grow past the seedling stage I would cram into a box and send off...often for postage. I am not saying that hybrid is one of mine mind you. Just noting that it is a possibility that this is a seedling she may have gotten from someone or some company. We really can't judge without more information and even then perhaps she's just not that good with a camera or perhaps that was the first time that one bloomed for her....Just too many variables with an unknown Brugmansia. Often times a Brugs first bloom from seed is nothing like what it will be on its second bloom etc.

Maybe I should try and find out! Highest offer for Fandango, 5 year alley tree, double apricot colored flowers.
How much could I ask? How much would be offered?

So far, my hybrids went away for an apple and a egg, as we say in Germany.

Tonny, I had a very interesting talk on Sunday evening.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

monika, I'm starting to beg money now to put in my bid. LOL!! you could get a fortune for it, or even just cuttings!! to think that your beauties were sold to no nice profit to you is so sad.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I could not seperate myself from Fandango, Anouschka or SommerköniginThis year, Carly is joining the alley. I have a tree, not as large as the others, but good enough.
Its color is a dream. See the post.
