Snow, i had three of these that i stared at the leaves last summer until i was certified. can't tell how big it is, but they don't seem to get serrated until a certain point. keep me informed, but i sure couldn't find the difference in the 3 last summer.
It is lookin' pretty CG to me. Seems to have enough size that it should be putting out the permanent leaves. You can also post a bloom picture and I'm sure Eric, Kyle, or Monika can tell for sure then.
I should have said it's a last years cutting. The plant is about 3-4ft tall.Shirley, these would be the permanant leaves. Watcha think??
Terry, I think you have a CG/JO. Still never hurts to ID by blooms though. I have to say that my brugs that have just come out of dormancy, Dr. Suess and the one I have always called CG that isn't, have smooth leaves right now. They are small leaves and I totally expect them to become toothed as they get bigger. If they are smooth this year, then I will be like Arlene was saying.....totally certified!! Could be there now and because of it, just don't know it..... :-)

this is my original, which is the only one i thought i took cuttins of. the second one i had came from karma happy toes and bloomed for the first time i believe at the end of july at which time i figured if it was JO the one in this pic was too. i dug up the one from KHT and gave to a friend, will have to see if she kept it alive. i probably mixed up the cuttings. i could see no difference in the leaves or blooms. was this a cutting i sent you last summer?
Yes Arlene, the very first one. You sent it with the FP but it didn't flower last year like the FP did. All leaves big and small are smooth edged.

LOL. I remember Arlene. You had sent me the FP and Dr Suess and then you wrote and said it was Jutner Orange. On the name tag I have Dr Suess crossed out and Jutner Orange written in.No need to apologize Arlene, I love surprises and when this one blooms it will certainly be a surprise. :)
well, if it is CG, can i have a piece? lol. i have finally learned to write immediate name tags. otoh, maybe the one i gave away was CG.
