Buds!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Took my brug outside that I've called Charles Grimaldi for three or four years and now have to call Dr. Suess, and found one bud about 3 inches long and lots of tiny ones starting to form. This brug has had no care since last year. It has very few leaves, but I did cut it back above the Y before putting it away last year and it is making more Y's already. One nice thing about this brug, once it blooms, it is continuous. It was a nice surprise for this time of the year.

Congrats, Ms Brugie, got to love a low maintenance fragrant bloomer no matter the name. i have a peculiarity.. your FP that bloomed a while back looks like it is forming a seed pod. it has to fall off, it was the only bloom i had until shredded white started opening yesterday. but it's bigger than most of the ones that fell off last year, but i take it she sure is ready to make babies.

Congratulations Shirley, Isn't it great to have buds forming this time of the year. Adds a little spring time even when the weather is still cold. Now you'll have the excitement of waiting for them to open.

yippeeeeee, brugie, you have the magic touch!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

No magic touch here. Jim watered them in the winter months, too much on some and killed them, but four did survive out there in that cold garage. Just fun to see something happening now. Planted stuff in the flower beds today. Hope it wasn't a premature thought and action, but it is done now. Time will tell.
