oriental lilies

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

is it too late to move them? mine are up about 1' or so. I have some that are in total shade and were just forgotten about and don't bloom there.

tiG,

I've read that daylillies can be transplanted at any time during their growing stages without any problems.

right, but these are orientals. just wondered if they are the same or not when it comes to moving :)

TiG I move things all year-just give them lots of water!
I think if you dug them without disturbing the roots to much they would be ok! good luck!
thats just my personal opinion!-im notmartha or anything! ;]

tiG,
I had to move some oriental lilies last year, and it didn't do them any harm.
They were almost in bloom, so I dug carefully down to the bulb and took as much of the earth as possible with each bulb. They blossomed beautifully.

All the best
