Candida pink
Candida pink
Brugman . . . this is beautiful and the pink color and shape of flower are just perfect to me. I love those pinks. The plant is so large - - is it in your yard?
This is gorgeous Eric.
Very Pretty Eric. Looks like I better start my want list for fall. Another got to have. I didn't used to like the pinks as well as the yellows, but I have really changed my mind over the last year or so.
Brugman--- did you know how partial i am to candidas? have to ask.....is this one related to the one i got from you? i'll be jumping up and yipping if you say yes. are you crossing this with butterfly also? i just keep thinking, now that we have some good aureas we can make those euros we like so much.
That is a beauty, such a nice bright pink. Keep up the good work!
Whats the cross? It looks like part EP! Its a beautiful flower and color. How did it survive the lawn mower?
That one is not my hybrid guys. It is a beauty though. The flowers do seem a bit variable in length though from time to time and the flowers don't all bloom at the same time like a versicolor. So, it has an aurea bloom cycle so to speak and very versicolor looking seedpods. Its not the best seed setter, but it has excellent pollen. I think I sent some seeds from this one out last year. If not, I have a few seedpods forming on this one via those darn moths. This one is a very fast grower and has a wispy type growth pattern as you can tell from the hanging branches.
Eric, this is the one seedling I have from the very first batch. It has velvety leaves too!
Tig, what you most likely have is Kyle Knight's Pink, and only the flower shape and color are similar, its not wispy and it flowered in its first year. The leaves on Kyle Knight's Pink are velvety as well. This hybrid has smooth leaves.
you sent me seeds from C. Pink and also from amber something, not rose. I have only the one seedling. Hope it's pretty like this.
what's the difference between KKP and Kyle's Pink? or did you rename it?
Brugmansia where did you get this one originally?
I like that one Eric, it's a beauty.
Arlene,
I am actually crossing Kyle Knights Pink to Butterfly. I haven't decided if I am going to use this one again or not this year, but the moths have pollinated a few seedpods on this one already.
Tig, I must admit I renamed Kyle's Pink to Kyle Knight's Pink. That hybrid has been renamed 2 times already. The first time the name was too close to one of Monika's hybrid names. I think you have another seedling from me as well Tig that I raised up to blooming stature. Flower color and shape is very similar to the above as well although I didn't name the other one. It has since been culled.
Eclipse,
I am taking it that you like this one? Any aurea's to trade for a cutting or two?
Kyle Knight's Pink is a very pretty plant, can't wait to see it bloom. I do believe i got a piece of the above plant from you sometime last fall. i'm so glad to see those pretty blooms.
Okay Arlene, Yes I do seem to remember giving you one of these among a few others. Brain runs on virtually empty sometimes. I have to confess at this time that I have used the above hybrids pollen on Candida species as well in the hopes of some pink doubles for you guys. The Candida species seedpod posted above though is pollinated from Ecuador pink.
Brugman....so nice. I can't wait to see mine bloom.
I don't think I have a candida ,but when I get one thats the color I want.I love that pink.....Awesome Eric!
I'm pretty sure I don't have one, but wouldn't know it if I did. :-) Haven't figured out how to id any of them yet.
Brugman, waiting to see your next batch of beauties.
