Thanks Bruno. i think i have a color deficit, it looks kind of orange to me, but so does pink delight in the pressiel book. does it bloom a lot? it's really pretty.

Very pretty brug. I think most are, but some are really striking.

Anytime Arlene! These photo's were taken with a digital camera which probably explains the slightly orange hue on the corolla! It's a very warm pink and i guess i really should have also posted a picture Insignis 'Pink' for comparison which is very much a baby pink colour! For me, I.'Rosea' is fairly vigorous and has a similar growth and flowering habit to I.'Pink' and seems to sucker alot! The flowers open quite wide and, as far as i can remember, they also have decent scent and life span!

Arlene, the Pink Delight in the Preissel book is not the hybrid, I created. He repeated the cross and called it looking nearly Pink Delight.(So it says at least in the german book). My original Pink Delight looks different.

i'm all mixed up on pink names. when i name them, i am going to name them george and floyd. i found an inch long bud on rosea this morning, guess i won't have to wait too long to see it bloom. does the PINK FAVORITE on page 86 of preissel look orangish to anyone besides me?

I just moved out of the chair to look at the picture and I too, think it looks more orange than pink. Pretty anyway.

Nice photo's Bruno. Are you using that one to hybridize with this year?

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Hi Brugman....are you Eric? I've no plans to hybridize with it just yet but i'm sure i will have crossed it with something or other by the end of the year! I'd really love to get hold of sanguinea, arborea , vulcanicola and some more of their hybrids / varieties etc. to use this year but i'm finding it difficult! There's so many brugs i want :(

Bruno,
Yes-you have nailed me down. If its any consolation I don't think we'll ever be happy with our collections. Monika and others simply keep creating such wonderful creations...its a disease really. Brugmansia anonymous...someone should start a support group for us.
