Huge leaves of Rosie

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Rosie is a member of Mme Blins R - Family. The flowers are wonderful beautiful, you will see them in the next post. They have the marking of a star, the consistence of the flower is like wax. But it grows, unfortunatly, like its mother Rothkirch. The leaves of the growing region are huge. They can reach easy 1.20m in lenghts and about 80cm wide by good feeding. Its like I said in post huge leaves: Kyle could easy wrap them around him and we would not seen him anymore.

Wow!! Those are huge leaves. Makes me wonder even more now what my versi Peach x Butterfly will turn out to be.

it looks like they shade the flowers, maybe they open earlier in the day and last longer.

Flower color is beautiful, need smaller leaves so as to see them! ha

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

That is one big plant! So Rothkirch is a monster like this?
The colour of the blooms looks so vibrant - almost looks unreal - I know it's not - but wow!

Monika - do all the R-Family have one same parent? Did Mme. Blin use a particular plant as a Mom plant?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I love it!!! I saw a white aurea in California at a botanical garden that had almost 24 inch long leaves and 15 inches wide..the flowers were small but the tree was almost 20 ft tall.Aureas seem to be the giants of the brug family. :-)

The R - Family have all the the same motherplant: Rothkirch.
But there are some more plants belonging to this cross without the R in front, thats; Flaminia, Cinderella, Butterfly, Esperanza, Rosenrot (Rosenrot-plants in european lists are not Mme Blins Rosenrot), Pink Beauty.

I read all the threads and posts to them. I do not however, post on all of the threads, but Monika, your brugs are all gorgeous. If I could only do half as well I would consider my work a success. I have enjoyed seeing all of your pictures and have learned a lot from your posts. Thank you so much for being here for us all.

Gloria, i am thinking your whiskers will make a good dad for species, shredded white, maybe culeba, etc, maybe a yellow double. especially with no white offspring yet.

Arlene,
