Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Greetings, everyone ~

Just stopping by for a few. Mid-term and getting ready to rent our house out and buy our new one, and kids stuff and - and - STRAWBERRIES ARE HERE! (Ooops, sorry for shouting ;-) They're not as sweet as the ones later in the season will be, but they are 1000% better than the poor things from South America that are in the grocery stores right now. I drove home the long way the other day and the corn plants are about 3 inches high. Strawberry farmers won't like the rain predicted for this weekend, but the corn growers sure will. I also heard that local cherry orchards mostly survived the late rain/freeze and although the crop may be smaller, it looks like there will at least be one. Poor almond growers further into the valley, though - I heard a few lost their whole crop. Well, gotta run. Hope to catch up with DG soon. Blessings to you all.
