Hi everyone,
My name is Barb Reed and I'm new to Dave's Garden and don't quite know how to use it.
We've just moved to a new home in Pinckney, MI (Zone 5) and have an acre (some in the woods). I am in need of anything you want to get rid of and would be happy to send postage.

I do have a few herbs, strawberry's I would be happy to send out or work out a monetary deal with you.

hi barb! have you figured out the different forums yet? If you post this in plant trading or seed trading, more people will see it. But don't put your address in the post, let people email you, which they can do by clicking on your name. That protects you from spam, cause only members can contact you that way and you have the choice of writing back or not. I'm sure there are tons of things people have for postage. welcome to Dave's

Wouldn't it be ever so nice if we could just be that open all the time? Of course, you will figure out who your special group is, and among them, you will share your information freely and even visit personally with them. I would like to suggest that you contact member Flowox and give her your snail mailing address, and it will be added to a list she privately maintains. Then when someone who is on the list wants to send you something, they will already have your address. And you will get a list of your own with all the addresses of the others on the list, so you can reciprocate. There is also a birthday list that she maintains, and you can just email her the month and day, and people can post wishes on your special day. Flowox also set up a free chat room for us, at her expense with a little help from friends, open 24/7, where you can chat with anyone who has given her a user name and password by just going there or telling them to meet you there. It's safe from intruders because it's password protected. There is one forum that only subscribing members see, called Parking Lot, and your post there is not visible to non-subscriber members. So, all in all, we have a pretty neat garden here, both private and public. Welcome, I know you will enjoy it.

Oops! This is my first time even entering the welcome mat forum. I am so glad tiG thought to welcome me. Sorry I didn't notice earlier. I guess I just hopped in to do some trading and now I am really digging through the site. Thanks for the welcome!
