I posted a pic of this little seedling earlier. I resolved after many comments from others that it was much too early for a Y on this seedling and therefore it must be vegetative growth. So I've waited and still this seedling grows extremely slow unlike the other seedling that sprouted at the same time and now are nearly a foot tall.
After seeing Monika's picture she posted on a leaf from the flowering region after a Y has formed I just had to take pictures of this seedling again.
Now I am convinced this was a Y. I hope you can see the irregularity in the small leaf which is only 1.7 cm long.
Poppysue sent me these seeds and they were labelled "? Pink"
There were about 8 seeds and six have sprouted. They are extremely slow to germinate compared to seeds of B. suaveolens and Eric's B. "Isabella" hybrid crosses. They also grow veryyyyyyyy slow!!
The seedling is now 2 months old and they get the same fertilization routine as all my other brug seedlings. I waited for the third set of leaves to develop and now I'm going to pot this one up into a 2 gallon container.

SUPER SEEDLING!!
Joydie1, I do not want to dissapoint you but it looks to me like a side sprout and the asymetric leaf nothing else but a deformed leaf. All the leaves above th Y MUST be asymetric. The picture is not sharp and I used a magnifying glass for a closer look.
The size of the Rothkirch leaf I posted, had DINA4 size.
Monika,
Did you see the other picture with just the leaf? Let me know if its still just a deformed leaf. It is the first leaf above what I thought was a Y, the other stem has true leaves.
By the way, what does "DINA4 size" mean?

Now you caught me! DIN A4 is a normed size of a paper sheet. I believed this to an be international norm.
The length of the sheet is 30cm x 21cm wide.
Joydie1, I took another look. It is a deformed leaf. This does happen and I had this occur in my seedlings too.
I search through my pictures to find a clear to see Y with the leaves on it.. When found, I will post it for you.
Monika,
thanks...now i'm learning more terminology..have to use that for pictures...
one never knows what you will learn on this forum.
