Starting to grow again! Just love this little fella :) It has nice spiral leaves, and red flowers. This has never bloomed before but it has been with me already 1,5 years or so.. or more, not sure. I got it from England from a collector of exotic plants when I asked nicely =) I replanted it last month and the bulb had grown about 1 cm or more wide.
kewl. mine is well into growth with leaves almost fully grown.
do you have the one that has huge red flowers in Autumn? I can send you a bulb if you want it.
There is also a new one out called 'Elizabeth'

You have spiralis as well? Send me a photo =) Is it big? I hope this would bloom so I could get seeds ;) No, I don't have any other Cyrtanthus, except a Vallotta bulb and it is sometimes called Cyrtanthus I think.

mine is a lot bigger than yours with leaves about 15cm high. Valotta is the old name for Cyrtanthus. I'll try and remember to take a photo tomorrow.

Mark, this used to be bigger but it went dormant for winter. Leaves were about 12-18 cm I think.
Mark, how's your Cyrtanthus doing? Mine just started growing a new leaf. It had this leaf (in the pic from April) all summer and last weekend it finally dried. I also replanted this a couple of weeks ago. Will take a new pic of mine soon.
