Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'm so excited. Isabella has finally opened and now with the SG I've got two colors in the greenhouse.

Very Pretty. I think mine is all but dead. I'm still babying it. Such a pretty bloom. Don't suppose you could send some of the fragrance my way? :-)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Snowhermit, that is absolutely breathtaking!

Ms Brugie, no fragrance on this one.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well, shucks Arlene. It is too pretty to be without fragrance. I too wonder if Terry has had any failures with her brugs. They all look just great.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Brugie, I'll send you some fragrance from the Solid Gold. With almost all the flowers out it has filled the GH with a beautiful scent.

Franktown, CO(Zone 5a)

Alright SH, I'm jealous! I have a greenhouse too, but I don't have anything even starting to bloom. Oh, I can't wait for warmer weather!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Terry, maybe you will get lucky and the weather will cooperate with you so you can get them outside sooner than you planned. I'm hoping for about three weeks from now to get mine out permanently and that is a little early for our average frost date. Just have to do something. My greenhouse doesn't have room for the next three weeks growth and most of mine are still in the house. Your brugs are going to be so far ahead of mine. You should be blooming all summer. That will be great. Enjoy.

Snowhermit,

What a beauty! I long for my first opportunity to inhale the fragrance of a Brug...Right now my sunroom is filled with the fragrance of Camellias. My son comes home and wonders why he sometimes finds me sitting on the step there. I'm teaching him to touch leaves of plants and to learn the textures, to inhale and smell the fragrant plants and he enjoys it.

This is off topic, but we cut out all products containing caffeine in the house. I now have him hooked on herbal teas and he's become quite the connoiseur commenting on the subtlties of the different tastes. Now if only I could get him interested in plants and gardening...I know my grand daughter will be a gardener for sure. I started with her when she was just 2 years old and could poke her little finger in the soil and pop a seed into a pot. She spent the summer watching her special garden veggies grow. She could indentify strawberries, raspberries and loved to pick her peas and beans. Whenever she comes to visit now she heads right for the growlight stands and she grabs plants to take home with her. I must have taught her only too well as she takes all the special tropicals with beautiful flowers. If I suggest another type for her to take instead she says, "No MOMOM, that one isn't pretty." She only 3 years old now.

It must have been when she was around two that you and I met online. You were looking for a project to do with GD and I sent you some birdhouse gourd seeds. Seems a million yrs ago.

Snowhermit,
We had fun doing them and she finally stopped coloring on the walls. We turned some into rattles and painted others to make x-mas tree ornaments. The gourds didn't get very big, but they were perfect for our little projects.

At Halloween I bought her some special little tiny pumpkins and put them on the porch for decoration. On the weekends when her father came to pick her up she would take her pumpkins with her in her "school bag packback"...lol..then when she returned home on Sundays she would bring them back and set them on the porch again...LOL.

Time goes so fast...this year she turns 4 and starts Junior Kindergarden. Seems like yesterday she was just a babe in arms.
