First pollinated bloom!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I did it!!! Pollinated my first flowers. Since I tend to get confused at times(especially after I hit 50) I marked every one that I pollinated so there's no chance for confusion. Two of the Isabella buds opened yesterday so I used the pollen from them and also pollinated the Isabella with the SG pollen.Keep your fingers crossed.
How long before you know if it took and what do you look for to see if there is a pod forming????

I'm so excited for you.Just don't pinch the pod...well, at least for a few months...LOL

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

SH..the flowers will fall off quickly if it took and the small seed pod will show as soon as the flower drops off. Let nature take its course and don't touch the pod.Fight the urge to pull the old flower off..let the plant do the work or you may injure the new pod. :-)

Kyle, thanks for the advice. You've just answered a couple of questions that I wondered about.
Arlene, I promise I won't look for a month. Yeh, right. You remember the path I had worn waiting for my first FP bloom to open. LOL
joydie, pebble and cc, keep those fingers crossed. I was out there with my glasses on standing on my head with q-tip in hand pollinating like a crazy person.Hope I got everything where it's supposed to be.

Keep us inform, SH because as I do not know much about Brugs, I am reading everything posted and learning...
Some of you, nice friends had share some seeds and sent them right down south. I'll put into practice every bit of knowledge I have gathered from all of you....and I will have some nice plants as well !
Thank you so much.

Eclipse, you too? *lol* I thought it was only Cala, Liz and me, that had to fight hard not to rip of flowers, fruitwalls (and anything we could possibly get our hand of) of out plants *lol*
