This seedling started out white. The white seed leaves fell off but the plant put out green second leaves. The stem is is still white. It almost looks like the green top was grafted onto a white stem. It's growing slow - and is only a few inches tall. Do you think it will make it? any chance it will it be anything good?
BTW - this is another one of Eric's crosses.
Albino stem
that is interesting, can't wait to see what the pros say. did i send you any seeds marked VPX (dr seuss X EP)????
Arlene - No I don't think I had any of those. I've got some mixed versi crosses, Butterfly x Isabella, white x, nad I think mixed butterfly xs from you. My seedlings are eating my house! Next year I won't start them so early. There are a few that got burned leaves from growing up into the lights. I can't raise the lights anymore - LOL! After this weekends cold snap I want move a few outside. I have daylily seedlings out now with the heater going - but I'm still afraid to put the brugs out.
Poppysue,
One of the seedlings of mine from you that were Eric's came up with a white stem. I gave it plenty of fertilizer and the stem eventually turned green. The seeds you sent me all germinated..100% and I have seedlings in most rooms. My south windows downstairs are full of shelves with 1 gallon pots, I moved more into the upstairs windows that face south. This weekend I bought more shelving and they are now taking over the living room under grow lights. I don't even need to use the curtains now with all of the lush growth. All of Eric's plants are now about a foot tall. I can't move plants outside here until May 24th weekend. I think that is your Memorial Day in the U.S.
