Is this a "Y"?

This is a seedling from some of Eric's crosses. Is this a real Y? The main stem has forked. The plant is only 8 inches tall.

Poppysue, if my eyes are seeing right, about half way up on the right side of a pic i would call a side shoot, which could do its own Y some day. of if you need more plants, when it matures a little you can cut it off and root it. i am so happy to see brugman's seeds being grown from coast to coast! hope they all turn out gorgeous.

You are probably right Arlene. It looks like a Y because the branch and the main stem are almost equal in size. Now that I look at the picture it does look like a branch. Darn!

Poppysue,
From the seeds that you sent to me I found that Eric's seedlings branch very early. I had branching on 3" seedlings. Also on a tiny little 1" seedling that is growing really, really slow, it has multiple branches. Its thick with branches and I think all the growth is going into branching and not height...maybe I should post a picture of this little fella.
