Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Evert..can you get him to send me few??? :-) LOL

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I still have few seeds.. I will ask him about the erythrinas again, if he knows more about this yellow one

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Evert I have seeds of many different things if you want to trade something for a few. :-)

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Sure, but.... I am not sure would they arrive because of your new plants/seed laws and phytosanity things. :/

Evert seeds can still come in alright.I just got some from Brazil a while back.

Wow, didn't know there was a yellow one. I have Erythrina crista-galli, we call the cry baby tree. No seeds yet but the plant grows like crazy each year.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Evert, just don't write 'seeds' on the envelope.

Evert, I hope you have a HUGE greenhouse!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Tim, what do you mean =) I don't have a greenhouse at all..

Desert Hot Springs, CA(Zone 10b)

They are large bulky trees in their natural environment and quite tender. I meant that I hope you have enough room to accomodate. I've never seen one grown indoors. Does anyone have a pic of one grown inside? It's always exciting to get an exotic to grow!

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Oh yeah. I've seen a big E. lysistemon in HiBo.. but if this ever grow too big Iäll give it to them.. :p Of Gardenia, or Winter Garden.

I keep an Erythrina crista-galli in the green house. I cut it back some in the late winter. My friend Ruby will have to see this!! She has several varieties.

How big does yours get, Calalily? I have one in my front yard that gets nipped back by the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter. Stays small but is splendid when it blooms.

Mine got about 6 or 7 feet tall last year. It's in a huge pot. I had it on the patio last summer, but decided it was just to heavy to lug to the green house and back out in spring, so I am leaving it put where it's at. The only thing about it that bugs me is that it wants to spread out instead of up.

This is the 2nd spring for mine and it is about to bloom, can't wait. It is still small and lives in the yard, died back this winter and is growing like crazy this spring. What a great plant.
