Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

no wonder you call it the fern house,is it something you specialize in?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

We sort of have a reputation for our ferns, lol. Actually I used to specialize in perennials like Hosta and Daylilies, but now it's definitely tropical plants.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Go ahead ,say the word.....B....R....U....GGggggggg,thats what you specialize in!!

Cala,
I just started last year with hybridizing daylilies...I now have over a hundred seedlings to plant out this year. I'm going to grow them out in raised beds so I can evaluate them properly. I'm hoping to get some really nice ones. I haven't even started the tet daylily seeds yet. Will do that next week. Also I have lots of Siberian Iris hybrid seeds to pot up.

Speaking of Siberian Iris. Have you ever ordered from Borglum's in Geneva, New York? Their Seneca siberian iris series are to die for!! They are tri colored petals of lavender, purples, blues and pinks the most stunning siberians i've ever seen. CC you should check them out they may not be far from you.

Joydie1, Hi, I live about 20 miles from Borglum's Iris Farm and used to love to go there and drool. One year for my birthday I purchased 3 of his bearded iris' what beauties!!

I just loved to walk around his gardens fantastic hosta's and perrenials some for sale some in his personal gardens. My mom grew up with his family in Yates County which is very Danish with many farms that are now being bought up by the Mennonites from Pa. I have not been to his gardens in a couple of years but must go this year and see how they have changed.

Also, just a few miles from us is Grace Garden's specializing in daylilies. I know the owners, great Christian people, and they are listed in our Watchdog here at DG. Their web site gives great info about our area.

Himrod, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Crestedchick, I don't know where West Monroe is unless up by Rochester but am sure glad to meet another NYer. We live 3 miles from a town called Himrod right in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Did you feel the earthquake yesterday morning? My dh works in Penn Yan and felt it, it had the pots and pans swinging at the county jail kitchen.--Joy

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Joy, haven't ordered from the company you mention. We have Iris City Gardens not far from us and they have nice plants. They also carry a few heirloom ones.
I grew lots of daylilies from seed and when it came time to cull them I just couldn't toss any. I did that with the hosta seedlings too. I've got so many brug seedlings now, I will HAVE to cull some of them.
OK, I admit it, the green houses are only there to support my habit.

Knoxville, TN

yippppeeee will save u some cala,,,ooooo just trow them ol

Joyus,I live north of Syracuse ,on the north shore of Oneida lake. And yes we felt the earth quake. It actually screwed up our front door.We had to re-shim it cause it wouldn't shut after that!Had to rip the sheetrock out to do it.I was actually on the computer and the keyboard was moving so bad I couldn't type.My DH was laying up in bed and started screaming at me thinking I was doing something downstairs that was causing the house to shake.LOL I've been to Geneva, and we go down thru the lakes on the way to Bath,we have a show there in fall and an auction next month and again in fall.I love it down there!
