Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Hello farmers. The weather is beautiful, 62* which is one of the warmest days we have had. There is just a light breeze. I have been outside all day, got the grapes pruned and now am working on flower beds. A neighbor came by to get her seeds. We ordered together and split the shipping charges, together our orders totaled enough to get a 10% discount, and we were able to order larger amounts for less $ and split up the seeds. I gave her some plants too. Right now I am taking a break and having a snack, I didn't eat lunch and breakfast is long gone. Yesterday I rode Breezy and he was lame after I put him back in the pasture. I checked him before I rode and right afterward, ok then, but a few minutes of standing in the pasture and he was lame. He was still lame this morning and I can't find what the problem is, so this weekend I will take him to the ride and have a vet there look at him. One vet I talked to thinks he may have pulled a muscle about a month ago when this all started. The vets that we see at the rides know a lot more about lameness than the local vets do. Breezy was lame for 2 weeks then looked sound for 2 weeks so I started riding him again last week. Lameness can be very frustrating. I am glad Bullwinkle is in good enough shape to do 50 miles on 2 consecutive weekends. As long as I go slow he will do fine. I hope all of you had a great day, count your blessings.
