Need Best Hints on Applying Window Film

Okay, I finally found some window film to put on my windows that are near the bird feeders. But, even after careful installation, it still has creases & bubbles which make it look amateur. Any suggestions? Is one brand better than another? Is this a lost cause? Is there a better material/approach to use than applying film to my windows? Should I just get new windows all together? Please HELP me ~ I want to enjoy the birds as close as possible!
