Merry gardens

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I was just checking out the GW and I came accross the link for Merry Gardens. I had know idea they were doing mail order and had a website. I haven't been there in a few years but it is a real neat place to visit. Mary Ellen Ross is a daughter to the famous Logee's. http://www.digitalstorefronts.com/store/storefront.asp?cartid=7303 Looks like they have a lot more available since I've been there.

Sue, I should never have read this thread. Went on another spending spree last night. Was pretty good though. Just bought one banana plant, but it still adds up.

Forgot. I did get a pregnant onion too.

Brugie - what'd you get for a Banana? I was thinking about it... DH thinks I'm a loose cannon. I see they have one banana that's supposed to be hardy to zone 5.

I thought those pregnant onions looked cool too!

I got the one that was hardy to our zone and had to buy one more thing because they have a $20 minimum. The preg. onion looked different and was not expensive. However, with postage it did add up to almost $35. The postage was $10. That is a little high, but the banana should be about a foot and a half tall when it gets here.

I noticed the postage was high too. I hope to make a trip up there this summer. It's the first place in Maine I've found that actually sells brugs!
