TIG Just Left!!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Well, she just left, we had so much to talk about and so much to do & so little time! She came about 10:30 this am loaded with a huge box & bag of assorted BRUGS, just for me!! I am thrilled but now - where to go with these beauties. The timing was just right for them, as just yesterday I took all my hibiscus, geraniums, etc. out of my little greenhouse. I am just not quite ready to put those precious brugs out in the open yet - we might have one more frost. She also brought her darling little one year old Emily, what a doll. Emily did get tired of the plant talk tho and decided to take a nap. Grandma had to wake her to leave about 3:15 tho so she could beat the traffic home. I had planned for us to go visit my neighbors garden and squeeze in a haircut for TIG, but we just ran out of time. Must do it again soon.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Azalea, sounds like you too had a marvelous time.
Be sure you post photos of your brugs when they bloom.
Does coming to your house always entail a haircut? lol
My kinda place....love getting my hair cut.

How far does TiG live from you?

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

She lives 43 miles from me - and we talked about the haircut on our Fl Trip - guess she will just have to live with a pony tail or French Twist for a while more, Lol.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Azalea, it sounds like you had a wonderful visit! I am sorry I missed lunch. LOL Try as I may, just can't get out of the house. :) I am glad you two got to have such a nice long visit. I am jealous too. I bet you had a lot of fun.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Azalea, I just want to know, was it warm today down there? It's been cold here today, brr. Glad you all had a good visit, now come up and see me(you and TiG and Molly too if she wants to come) and I will load you up with plants.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

It was a beautiful day, in the 60's but chilly with the wind. Yeah, I need more plants Calla, I just got 20 more hostas in the mail today!! I tried my best to get her to take a few hundred Swamp Sunflowers, but she didn't seem to want anymore!! Then Tig and a neighbor & I are going to Callaway Gardens on the 5th for their "big sale"!! I guess if I don't hurry up to your place, there won't be room for anymore from you. I don't really mean that of course, there's always room for one more, Lol

Badseed - sorry you didn't make it for lunch, it was pretty good. Pebble, I will need to set up an appt. for your haircut. LMK!!

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Azalea I am sooooo jealous!!!! tiG and I were suppose to meet last week for a lunch date and plant swap with TraciS and Stormy19(Jackie) But tiG wasn't exactly sure how to get out here, so she missed us. I was soooooo looking forward to meeting her and was very disappointed when she called and said she couldn't find us :( Plus I was really looking forward to more brug cuttings too :*( But we are going to make better plans and try it again real soon and I would love to have you and Cala join us! Now that would be fun!!
Cala, you be sure and let me know when you are going to be heading this way, b/c I would love to meet you! I am sure we would have a wonderful time!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Hey Calla and PJ, I just talked to my "web slave" (DH), are you going to be around the 4th of Jul weekend, which would be 5,6,7 (Fri, Sat, Sun)?? I was thinking about taking you up on your offer to come for a visit. That will be about the only time cause I am going to CA the first week of Jun, up to NY on business and visiting CC the last week of Jul, then over to Myrtle Beach the last week of Aug. Boy thought I was going to be home more this summer. Just doing some thinking?? Dee

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

what a great time I had!! I took a small box of brugs and brought home a huge box and bucket full of plants!!! I got some real beauties of perennials, things I really needed and wanted. And you should see their house, it's just as beautiful as their yard. Emily fell in love with Mr. Azalea, and flirted all day. And I sure wish I'd had time for that haircut, I'm in desperate need. Thank you both for your hospitality and friendship. and all the plants!!!
Then I got home and another huge box of pretties was here from a certain nurserywoman!! so tomorrow better be pretty to get them all in the ground!
Good day all around even if the baby did cry half the way home :( (I think she just didn't want to leave)

(Zone 8a)

I'm jealous too! I have known PJ since early last year when I seen her ad in a paper and called her about some seeds...we have been email buddies since!

I am going to be lucky and I will get to meet her at Calloway Gardens next week and then I am going to storm her house very soon!

Look for me soon PJ! I'm so glad you and Tig had a good time together too!

Looking forward to meeting Tig too!

Wow, Dee, you are a busy gal - don't know about the 4th week-end yet tho - we have been talking about a trip to Oregan about then. DH has a Barbershop (singing) convention then we may attend???? Otherwise, would love to have you.

Mollybee, I want to meet you too - It's shouldn't be so hard for us to get together since we are so close - when did you say you were going to visit your sister???

Rebecca, I hope you won't be disappointed - I have been looking forward to meeting you too for sooo long. I am home most of the time, except when I go off in search of the 1 plant I still don't have, lol! Would live to have you drop in. Love you all!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I will keep the weekend of the 4th clear then. As far as I know, I will be here. DH likes to go camping around then, but someone has to stay here and watch after the plants and critters, lol. It would be nice if the GA gang could come up too.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Molly dear, you are so sweet not to say that I just plain got lost as a goon!!! I was soooooooo smart, thought I knew where I was going, and didn't ask for directions again! Jackie was very gracious and said she'd have us soon. And I still have those plants for you!!! LOL! can't wait to meet you too.

(Zone 8a)

PJ, why would I be disappointed? I know you are one of the sweetest people on earth!!!

What kind of plants that you don't have let me know and I will bring one for you!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Oh Rebecca what a question, you are so nice - I am honestly at the point that I don't know of anything that I really want - I just know it when I see it. I did want some more Brugs, but The No Fl Swap, Calla & Tig have now taken care of that void. I am still struggling with decisions where to put some of them. I just know I don't need any more vines.

(Zone 8a)

What? No more vines! I don't have your vine...can't remember the name but you posted a pic of it, gotta get a piece of it when I come to your house! Jasmine...that's it!

Okay...do you have surprise lillies?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I envey all you southerners that live close enough to be able to get together. It sounds like such a fun time when you all meet up.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

The Star or Confederate Jasmine, with a tiny white bloom??? I can bring you one but I don't remember posting this. Or was it the Hyacinth vine with pink flowers??

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Hey PJ, what's a Hyacinth vine??? don't think I ever of it.

Snow, I am not very good with distance up north, but how long of a trip would it be to go over to NY, say in the area of CC (West Monroe) I am supposed to be up there the last week of Jul. Too long to travel probably, huh?

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Dee - it's a fast growing annual vine with pink blooms that look like sweet peas but have no odor and bloom all summer. You should have got some seeds at the swap - want me to send you some - I have lots.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Azalea, surely you don't have one of those seeds left??? LOL!! for those not there, she had a big baggie FULL of them!!!
What a great group, wouldn't it be wonderful if we could ALL get together??????

(Zone 8a)

PJ...you sent me some hyacinths seed with the bubble gum hibiscus...it was the jasmine vine around a light pole or something!

I just checked all your post and couldn't find pic but I saw where you wanted a chinese snowball...well I have a japanese snowball I will bring you to CG... Hope you have alot of room cause it gets big, mine is about 12 ft high and double around...I've had it about 15 yrs and my Dear Mother gave it to me and I cherish it since she is gone!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

PJ, I don't remember seeing any of those seeds, and we went through a bunch of yours. Would you mind bringing a few to Callaway Gardens. Would love to try them. I have vines all over the place. can't have to many vines, I say.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Dee, It would be a long distance to go especially alone. It seems I live far from everything including malls, big towns, movie theaters etc. The biggest thing we have up here is the moose and the bear.LOL I'll have to find out how far it is and if DH is going to take a vacation this summer. Maybe I can talk him into a ride to NY if my back is up to it. Sure would be nice to meet CC and you too if I'm lucky enough that he has that week off.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Ok - Dee will happily bring you seeds, and anything else I can, the E. ears still are not up tho. I'm going to need to reveiw what all I owe you from the swap.

Rebecca, I did get a Chinese Snowball bush last year which seems to be doing well - I don't know what the Japanese one looks like. I hate to turn down such a special gift as that would be, but I am getting very limited on space. Thanks ayway for the offer.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Dee, stop and pick me up and I will go with you, lol. I've never been to NH I don't think. I've been to Conn.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Come on up calla!!!And grab tig too...

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

yes, come on up. We'll have a snowball fight. :)
CC, got any snow left? We've still got plenty.
