Here's the story. I volunteer at a local botanical garden (in the perennial garden), but recently raided the heather garden to collect seeds. None of the plants are marked so I have no idea what species they are (and I am certainly no expert on heather!) The only sign in the garden says that there are different types of heather and heath (apparently heath look a lot like heather but bloom in late winter to early spring as opposed to the heather which blooms in the summer) Anyway, I wanted to see if I could grow any, so collected as many species as I could that still had seeds attached, and ended up with 6 different species. I have enough seeds left over to make 7 trades (each trade will include 3 different species) If interested, let me know!

I am a newbie...and don't have any seeds to trade..but I would love some for a sase? PLEASE! :)
Is there any way I could have all 6 species? I have been searching everywhere for heather seeds. I even contacted Trina in England to see if she could possibly help me. She emailed me a few min. ago and told me about your post. I want those 6 desperately. I will email you my trading lists and can even include "my first born child" since this is so important to me. Please, please let me hear from you immmediately if not sooner. I will send you my trade list just as soon as I hear from you.

Since Dori is a newbie, if you don't have enough seeds left to make out my 6 kinds, I will send Dori a nice bunch of seeds that will do well for a newbie. I still have lots left over and don't plan to do any more trading after this.
By the way, check out General Discussion, "How Bad Is Your Addiction?". I think you definitely qualify for being a member of that group. Good for you girl..I never thought of volunteering at a botanical garden to be able to "borrow" seeds and cuttings. If it is anything like my experiences, cuttings will definitely be next. I have been known to make midnight raids on places to get seeds. Hubby is very good at watching for people, by the way. No, I haven't confessed over there yet. The thread isn't going to be long enough to confess my lifetime of the addiction.
There is no help for me. I am too far gone. I would have the heather seeds by now if I could have figured a way to stop the train in Scotland. Told you I was bad.

Me too! Can I have some? Please go see my list for anything you would like. I have some Lavendar Otto Quasti(spanish lavendar) blooming right now. If you want any of that too. (My personal favorite.)
