I want to plant a blueberry bush (Sunshine Blue) in container because I will be moving eventually. Any tips? Size of container? Special needs?

This blueberry is a dwarf plant, about 3 x 3 feet and will perform great in a container with well drained, acidic fertile soil. I'm considering growing it in front of my house in full sun. It's also self pollinating which is always a bonus - a lovely evergreen plant, pink flowers and fruit too!! I think a 14" container would be OK but not terracotta unless it's glazed, as the soil drys out to fast! Good choice Vicki!!

i go to pick wild blueberrys in the summer and they grow in swamps
The wild blueberries in NE Louisiana grow throughout the forests, along roadsides, wherever there is soil. Their only requirement seems to be an acidic soil. If there is not enough rain, the berries are smaller, less juicy. If they are in too much shade, they might be less sweet, but too much sun can make them too tart.
