Brug wants to be outside

Olympia, WA

My first baby was brought inside for the winter, and oooo la la, the new growth is incredible - overwhelming - and we are at least 7 weeks before frost free nights can be counted upon. I might not be able to lift it to get it out there when the time comes.

Certainly is nice to see NO bug holes on brug leaves!!!

Any suggestions beyond the normal for gradually introducing the kid to the outside again?

Thanks

Well, I'm not a brug expert but I have read they are very easy about hardening off and can be exposed to the sun immediatly but if I were you I would gradually introduce them to sunshine just to be on the safe side!

Are you close to Seattle? I have a DD that moved there not long ago!

Thank you for your information - sunshine is beginning to happen around here - but nights are terribly cold as yet - so will do some in/out for a while.

Olympia is about 70 miles south of Seattle - lovely part of the universe.

On brug "stuff", I saw some awesome ones in Costa Rica just a couple weeks ago - huge shrubs - apricot colored trumpets - way up over my head!!!

Ah - spring!
