Monday March 25th

Busy weekend here, my 10 yr old nephew Corey stayed with me and he is a HANDFULL! He loves helping with the goats though. Some of you may recall last year he had his first birthing experience as he found one of the does kidding in the field and chased her around until she had to stop, he caught the baby as it came out then promptly dropped it cause it was `yucky`! LOL He didn't get to see any birthing this time but was a great help bottle feeding the triplets. I cleaned the goat shed with Corey's help and put down fresh straw. DH worked on the racks that go into my trailer for hauling the goats. We were both kind of work lazy this weekend, exhausted from the previous week I think. Late yesterday evening we took a walk thru the woods following the property line where we are hoping to fence soon. Have to be able to buy the fencing first, hoping for good news about taxes. We are probably going to go with high-tensile electric fence though any fencing is going to be a challenge because of the hills. My mom had really good news with her taxes, it was her first full year claiming the bakery. She even gets back money from State which is hard to do :~) Hope ours is as good. Better have some breakfast and get moving. Everyone have a great day.
