Hi,
Hopefully we will be putting in an offer on a house this Thursday (for those of you who remember me, the other house deal fell through when we discovered it had a lot of repairs to be made during the home inspection)...
I am planning ahead for what I will want to take with me.
I have lemon grass, oregano, lavender, lemon thyme and regular thyme, parsley, chives, cilantro... also interspersed is a Shasta daisy, a Rudebeckia and gooseneck loosestrife, bee balm (the little pink one) and a few others that have died back and I don't know if they will return or not after our weird winter...
Should I try to move these or leave them behind for the next renter to enjoy? I'm thinking to simplify my life I should leave them all behind and start fresh in the new place.
What do you guys think?
Thanks for your help,
Janie <)))><
moving herbs
ask the new owner if they would like you to leave any if they do want you to leave some then just devide them if not then dig out the whole clump. best to try to do it all the same day (the diging and replanting) if you can
Thanks, Troy, I didn't think about the timing, but yes, I need to have the flower bed at the new place ready when I dig them up at the old place.
I will ask the owner if he wants me to leave them... he probably will want them! And that's OK. Thanks for your input!

Just think how much fun it will be for you to make flower beds in you very own yard. :)
Ohhh yes, won't it be a delight??? MY fingers are itching to get into the dirt and see... use my soil tester and find out what I'm dealing with... check out everything... I'm really excited about it all. I have enough room to plant ANYTHING I want, trees, climbing vines, water gardens, even make a pond if I want (which I would really enjoy)....
The house has a HUGE picture window that goes floor to ceiling in the kitchen, with a built-in window seat... that overlooks the back of the house and the garden... :)
I'm getting so excited!
Thanks Honibee, for your reminder.
