Still trying to get info on blooming patterns of each species. I know versicolor blooms all in one flush. Could someone give me info on the blooming patterns of aurea, insignis, sauvolens, etc?
(got to get the book!!! LOL!)
blooming patterns ??
tiG, is CG a versicolor? If so, once mine starts blooming, it always has bloom. My versicolor orange does bloom in a big flush, but has blooms that continue coming on for quite a while after the main flush. I think my best blooming brug last year for time with flower was CG. Dr. Suess was the best for form and tree look. The double white bloomed for a long time too, but I don't know the name of it. Jean Pasco is a good and long period bloomer and makes an especially nice looking specimin in my opinion. I know that you have many more varieties to deal with and about the only thing I can say is that my versicolors do not get as tall as the others. Seem to Y quicker. Good luck with your alley. If we could all make one as beautiful as Monika's wouldn't we be happy campers?
CG is a Mehrfacht Hybrid (B. aurea x B. suaveolens x B. versicolor) which btw, so is Dr Seuss (could be why they are so similar)
Monika, if you see this, which do you use most for your alley?
