Guinea Birds ..Experiences?

I am thinking to get a few of these as watchbirds and to help with bugs. I am told they are not as destructive to plants as chickens or other free range birds. Does anyone else have experience with these? I will appreciate knowing pros, cons, how many to keep, etc. Thanks (o:
