new Celandine cultivar

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

hi all

weekend before last I found a silver leafed Ranunculus ficaria that had a broad maroon stripe along the mid rib. I sent it away to the guy who has the national collection of R.f. who replied today.

he says "The other two leaves are very nice. I think you ought to identify this with a name".

yipee!!

Mark
i'll take some photos of the whole plant when I get home from work.

Well done Mark!

What are you going to name it?

I havent a clue. I'll have to study it later but I'll be open to suggestions once the image is posted.

That's great Mark, yeeeeees!!!! Any sign of a flower? And what about the other one you showed on DG a while ago?

Mark did you have a look at my Rf seedlings on the PDB? The one I have with a stripe down the middle doesn't have the silver yours does. The black laced seedling has produced a darkish yellow flower which was a nice surprise. Pity my camera isn't good enough to pick out the flowers properly.
