Can one ever get rid of spider mites? I spray the brugs and all is fine for a week or so, then I notice the leaves drooping again. Will this be an on going thing? How about when I put the brugs outside when the weather get warmer? Will the problem still be there? These poor cuttings are forever putting out new leaves. Can anyone suggest something to feed them as I fear all their strengh is going into manufacturing new leaves constantly.
spider mites
feed them some osmocot and some fish emulsion and spray them with more offten to kill the mites.
I have been having just as much luck with straight water getting rid of spidermites but you have to do it everyday...I spray the underside of the leaves with a stream of water....not hard enough to tear up the leaves.
Djm...you have to spray the tops and the undersides of the leaves as well as the stems..once every 7 days for 3 times..That should do it..... :-)
Thanks everyone. I'm afraid I was just spraying the plants from the top and side and don't think I got it directly on the bottom of the leaves. I've ben using safers soap. I'll get some of the fish emulsion, and I'll mist them with water also. I've got like 15 plants, all started from cuttings and they seem to have stopped growing once they got infested with the mites. You have all been a good help. Thanks again, Doris
