Seed pod of Versicolor cross

This is a large seed pod of Ver. Alba X Ver. Milk and Honey it had about a zillion seeds in it and since has produced two sibling seedlings that are large Ver. Style whites.Heavy fragrance.In the pic the seed pod was about half developed.

Half developed? Woweee!!! It must have been huge.

Eclipse - I think we're at a loss for words. That's like the giant pumpkin of pods.

I can't even imagine having a seed pod that large and not even being full grown. How many seeds did you grow out of it?

That pod looks like one of those yard long beans in development. I'm shocked!!

Brug Nanny...I planted about 20 seeds and stored the rest.Most of the offspring were white versicolors.

How do you store seeds? How long can you keep them stored and they still be fully viable? Do some seeds have a longer storage life than others? If so, which ones can you store the longest.

Brug nanny..I have stored seeds as long as 7 years..but the viability goes down quickly on Brug seeds. datura seeds can stay viable for decades!For each year in storage the germination rate drops about 20 % or more..keep them dry in the dark and room temp.

That is one huge pod!! I thought I had large pods, but that one is huge.

Hee hee, just tell me where it is and I'll be there with the New Skin in a short time, lol. Actually I've been "pretty good" with the pods and even have a few that are still intact!!

I still say they look like sweet banana peppers.....
I agree it is huge...

My pod is a minature compared to that,and mines been there since August.....I'm such a pod failure.....
