Good morning all! It's supposed to get up to 60 today. We're having a "hoof trimming party" today. The hoof trimmer is coming and other people are bringing their bulls, cows, heifers, and steers to get trimmed. The more that get trimmed, the cheaper the per head cost.
I've been trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. Since I will be losing my main paying job this fall, I'm in a quandry of what to do. I haven't completed a resume for quite some time.
A friend who works for the Extension service said they may have some part time openings. The pay isn't that great but I think it would be a great place to get my foot in the door. They are Univ of Nebr employees and I would be able to get some tuition reimbursement for dd plus I think they would be understanding if I'm a little late because of farm situations.
Jazz (registered name is Jazc Designer) had a bull calf on Sunday night. We weighed it last night and it weighed 110 lb so it probably weighed 100 at birth. We consigned Jazz's calf from last year to a bull sale being held in April so we're anxious how he will do and hope we can sell this next one.
Molly, our only Limousin, calved last night.
Well better go - lots of office work to do today. You all have a good day!
